Nucleus Healthcare is seeking a Operating Room Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment at a leading academic health system in Moorestown, New Jersey.
This health system provides access to primary, specialty, tertiary, and urgent care, all within one complete health system. Our client is a Level I trauma center, and is consistently recognized for its quality, safety, and exceptional patient care.

The Operating Room RN is a professional care-giver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self. The OR RNis responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. Other duties you would be responsible for include but are not limited to:

Job Description:
The Operating Room RN is a professional care-giver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self. The OR RNis responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. Other duties you would be responsible for include but are not limited to:
- Assessing patient status and considering physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and cultural factors, developing patient care plans, and implementing clinical nursing interventions consistent with the plan.
- Acting as a patient advocate, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and well-being throughout the surgical process.
- Assisting interdisciplinary team in pre-cooperative preparation, intra-operative assistance, and post-operative care.
- Proficiently operate and maintain surgical equipment, ensuring their proper functioning during procedures.
- Documenting all patient care activities accurately and concisely in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Reporting pertinent observations and reactions regarding patients to appropriate personnel.
- May be required to perform limited laboratory services.
- Supporting performance improvement initiatives and providing leadership to other members of the patient care team.
