Job Title: Substance Abuse Clinician
Shift Information: Full-Time, Mon–Fri, no weekends or on-call responsibilities

We’re seeking a compassionate and skilled master's Level Substance Abuse Clinician to join a dedicated healthcare team and provide comprehensive support to individuals impacted by addiction. This position reports to the Clinical Director and offers a meaningful opportunity to guide clients on their recovery journey. 


Job Description: 
  • Develop personalized action plans addressing mental health and substance use with a whole-person approach 
  • Deliver individual and group counseling sessions weekly 
  • Participate in weekly clinical supervision (individual and group) and staff meetings 
  • Collaborate with clients' support systems, integrated teams, and external providers 
  • Diagnose substance use disorders, mental health issues, and co-occurring conditions 
  • Apply evidence-based treatments, including CBT, motivational interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, or other person-centered approaches 
  • Utilize knowledge of trauma-informed care, harm reduction methods, dual diagnosis, and milieu therapy in residential settings 
  • Maintain compliance with confidentiality standards (42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA) 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Clinical Director

Additional Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or a related field
  • Working knowledge of 12-Step Programs
  • Experience in recovery settings
  • Cultural competence and ability to demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and boundaries
  • Knowledge of substance abuse and mental health regulations at federal, state, and local levels
  • Valid MA driver’s license and ability to pass CORI and drug testing requirements
  • Two years of continuous sobriety for candidates in recovery
