Pay: $68,000-103,000
Job Description:
The Lab Technologist is responsible for performing laboratory testing procedures and interpreting clinical results in accordance with established guidelines, ensuring that all quality standards are consistently met.
- Conduct laboratory tests in compliance with departmental standards and procedures.
- Review and verify results to ensure accuracy, validity, and compliance with quality control measures.
- Interpret clinical results and communicate them to relevant medical staff.
- Perform specimen procurement and handling following established procedures.
- Operate laboratory instruments with accuracy and conduct routine maintenance.
- Perform and document quality control procedures and participate in proficiency testing according to established guidelines.
- Work with the laboratory supervisor or manager to resolve any quality control, patient, or procedural issues, and recommend improvements to enhance laboratory operations.
- Monitor laboratory inventory, ensuring necessary supplies are available and properly stored.
- Assist with operational tasks as needed to maintain laboratory efficiency, including assisting in the evaluation of new equipment and instrumentation.
