Job Title:  Lab Quality & Compliance Manage
Shift Information: Full Time; Days M-F (On call rotation every 7th weekend)
Location: Atlantic City, NJ
Pay: $80-104K


Job Description:


The Lab Quality & Compliance Manager is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality assurance and compliance of laboratory services.
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with all quality assurance standards. 
  • Track and trend Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) forms, ensuring documentation of all quality assurance activities and lab monitoring results.
  • Maintain a database of reported problems and proficiency testing results to detect trends or exceptions.
  • Ensure laboratory services meet all applicable regulatory requirements and standards from accrediting agencies.
  • Lead efforts to maintain compliance with regulations and oversee all regulatory reporting requirements
  • Coordinate staff educational programs, including orientation, competency assessments, and ongoing training. 
  • Ensure all educational and compliance standards are met in laboratory and clinical services.
  • Monitor and assess laboratory staff performance and staffing levels, ensuring appropriate coverage in laboratory rotations. 
  • Assist with operational duties and provide input on process improvements.
  • Collaborate with laboratory leadership, the Laboratory Medical Director, and clinical and IT partners to resolve quality control, patient, or procedural issues.
  • Provide consultation and advice on the latest technology and regulatory guidelines.
  • Work with laboratory leadership to recommend and implement enhancements to laboratory procedures and operational processes.

Additional Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of medical technology required.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in medical technology, chemical, physical, health, or biological sciences required.
  • Completion of a laboratory certification course required
  • Medical Lab Technician/Technologist certification (ASCP or equivalent) required
  • Minimum of two years of healthcare experience required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access is required.
