Job Title: Phlebotomist 
Shift Schedule: 40 hours a week; 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Location: Philadelphia, PA 
 
Job Description: 
 
The Phlebotomist will be responsible for drawing blood from patients for various lab tests, transfusions, and research purposes. 
 
  • Perform venipunctures, finger sticks, and heel sticks to collect blood samples from patients. 
  • Properly label and prepare specimens for laboratory testing. 
  • Maintain accurate records of all blood draws and ensure samples are delivered to the lab promptly. 
  • Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards to ensure patient and staff safety. 
  • Provide clear instructions to patients and ensure their comfort throughout the blood draw process. 
  • Assist with the inventory and ordering of phlebotomy supplies.

Additional Qualifications

  • 1.5 years of experience required.
  • Completion of a certified phlebotomy training program.
  • Valid Phlebotomy Technician Certification (CPT) preferred.
  • Proficiency in using laboratory information systems (LIS) and electronic health records (EHR).
