Job Title: Phlebotomist
Shift Schedule: 40 hours a week; 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Job Description:
The Phlebotomist will be responsible for drawing blood from patients for various lab tests, transfusions, and research purposes.
- Perform venipunctures, finger sticks, and heel sticks to collect blood samples from patients.
- Properly label and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
- Maintain accurate records of all blood draws and ensure samples are delivered to the lab promptly.
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards to ensure patient and staff safety.
- Provide clear instructions to patients and ensure their comfort throughout the blood draw process.
- Assist with the inventory and ordering of phlebotomy supplies.
