Nucleus Healthcare is seeking a Critical Care ICU RN for a 13-week contract assignment at a leading academic health system in Camden, New Jersey.
 
This health system provides access to primary, specialty, tertiary, and urgent care, all within one complete health system. Our client is a Level I trauma center, and is consistently recognized for its quality, safety, and exceptional patient care.

Job Description:
The Critical Care ICU RN is a professional caregiver, who as a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame. They supervise and provide care to these patients utilizing the nursing process, including the therapeutic use of self.
  • Follows established policies and procedures.
  • Communicates openly with internal customers and supervisors.
  • Provides excellent customer service, interfacing well with all levels of staff, management, and physicians.
  • Performs Other duties as required.
All units have a 2 patient to 1 nurse ratio which can increase or decrease depending on acuity and stability of a patient.  Agency RNs are in a critical care float pool so can be assigned to any one of these 4 units and may be assigned to intermediate units on other floors in the hospital.  Ratios on intermediate level are 1 nurse to 3-4 patients depending on acuity.  Agency RN will be successful if they have had experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center.

Additional Qualifications

  • Current NJ-RN License
  • Current BLS Certification
  • 3+ years of critical care acute care Level 1 trauma hospital experience required.
