Nucleus Healthcare is seeking a dedicated RegisteredNurse – Labor & Deliveryfor a 13-week contract assignment at a leading academic health system in Camden, New Jersey.
This health system provides access to primary, specialty, tertiary, and urgent care, all within one complete health system. Our client is a Level I trauma center, and is consistently recognized for its quality, safety, and exceptional patient care.
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Labor and Delivery unit, is a professional caregiver, working as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team. You will assume responsibility and accountability for a designated group of patients, providing care through the nursing process, which includes therapeutic use of self. You will follow established policies and procedures and communicate openly with internal customers and supervisors. This role requires providing excellent customer service, interfacing effectively with all levels of staff, management, and physicians.

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs.
- Supervise and provide care to patients, ensuring high standards of clinical practice.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, staff, and management to ensure comprehensive care.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures, ensuring patient safety and quality care.
- Provide care in the Labor and Delivery unit, including handling uncomplicated and high-risk pregnancies.
- Participate in the care of patients in the Obstetrical Triage unit, including those needing iron/blood infusions and Rhogam injections.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
