Nucleus Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician for a 13-week contract assignment at a health system in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Job Title: Pharmacy Technician 
Shift Schedule: 7:30am-5:30pm, 40 hours/week  
The role is 40 hours/week. We are open 7 days a week and the candidate would be expected to fit into our current weekend rotation (every 3rd weekend, Sat & Sun, from 830-230). The techs work 5 days per week and get weekday comp days when working the weekend. Weekday schedules are either 8 or 9 hours, between 7:30 am and 6:00pm.

Job Description: 


  • Assist the pharmacist in accurately preparing and dispensing medications to patients. 
  • Receive and process prescription requests, ensuring all information is accurate and complete. 
  • Manage and maintain pharmacy inventory, including stocking shelves, ordering supplies, and checking for expired medications. 
  • Label and package prescriptions according to state and federal regulations. 
  • Communicate with patients and healthcare providers regarding prescription refills, drug interactions, and insurance coverage. 
  • Handle payment transactions and assist in processing insurance claims. 
  • Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

Additional Qualifications

  • CHPT or CPT required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of experience in a pharmacy setting
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy software and basic math skills for dosage calculations.
