Nucleus Healthcare is seeking a Central Sterile Processing Tech for a 13-week contract assignment at a leading academic health system in Moorestown, New Jersey
  
This health system provides access to primary, specialty, tertiary, and urgent care, all within one complete health system. Our client is a Level I trauma center, and is consistently recognized for its quality, safety, and exceptional patient care.

Job Title: Central Sterile Processing Technician
Shift Schedule: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
Location: Moorestown, NJ

Job Description: 
The Central Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, maintenance, and availability of surgical instruments and equipment. This role includes washing, inspecting, packaging, and sterilizing instruments, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent customer service to internal staff and physicians. 
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Perform appropriate cleaning and maintenance of sterilization equipment. 
  • Maintain accurate monitoring records of sterilization processes. 
  • Use and interpret chemical and biological indicators to ensure proper sterilization. 
  • Assist operating room (OR) personnel in locating and reprocessing instruments as needed. 
  • Participate in performance improvement activities to enhance department efficiency and service quality. 
  • Follow established policies and procedures for sterile processing.

Additional Qualifications

  • Level 1 Trauma Experienced Required.
  • Certification in Central Sterile Processing or related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of sterilization techniques, equipment, and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
